Over the past decade Japanese food has grown enormously in popularity in the UK. We can find sushi and its ingredients at supermarkets all around the country, and Japanese restaurants have also been multiplying as our interest in this healthy, tasty cuisine increases. And yet there is so much more to be discovered.
Following the success of her visits to London in the last two years, we are welcoming back Japan’s famous Shojin Ryori author and chef, Mari Fujii. You can experience the tantalizing flavours of this traditional temple cuisine through several sample dishes in the course of her presentation. The history and philosophy of this culinary culture will also be presented, as well as its practical aspects, using locally available ingredients.
